Humility

Most days we go about our days business, showering, eating, working, playing, relaxing and everything becomes habit. It comes naturally. However, every once in a while it seems as if the Holy Spirit reaches out and reminds us we need to look outward. A few months ago I posted a link to Miss Preslee Jo Sullenger's mom's website about praying for others. I honestly prayed for this little girl but did not pay much more attention to the proceedings of the blog. A lot of you did. You mentioned to me that my post of a link made you cry. I had to ask You how it ended. I feel ashamed of myself for this.

I eventually went back to the blog to read about how little Preslee had slipped back home to our Heavenly Father and tears ran down my cheeks. My thoughts raced to my own two little girls and the thought of how difficult it must've been for Preslee's parents to do what they did. Or any set of parents, for that matter, who lose a child to do what they are forced to do. It puts into perspective how stupid little things are. I wish I could carry this spirit with me always. Always remembering that each moment is a gift. Every single second. My life would be shattered into millions of pieces without any of my loved ones with me. I am so grateful for them, for you.

Preslee's 2nd birthday is coming up in December and because her mom doesn't know how she's going to get through the day, she wants to look outward. They are gathering things to provide aid to those parents who are facing life with or without their precious children. They are gathering items for the parents of the children in the pediatric intensive care unit at Primary Children's Medical Center in SLC. If you would like to help out the cause please gohere for the details.

Anticipation

You know, with all due respect to my parents whom I was and am extremly lucky to have; I was never a fan of Thanksgiving growing up. Not. at. all. It was basically like a glorified Sunday dinner with grandma over. We ate, chatted, and usually football was on in the background. Yick! Football! Gag me with a spoon. Talk about a boring sport to watch. I'm sure the food was always good, minus the beets, but it just was never really anything I ever looked forward to eating. Fast forward to Thanksgiving after I'm all grown up.

Totally looking forward to it!

First of all, I get in on the action and get to cook things and bring something (literally) to the table. I like to try new dishes or appetizers or whatever I'm asked to bring. Second, I get to see my immediate family members whom I don't get to see that often anymore. My mom always goes the extra mile when people are up there with yummy appetizers, drinks, or dessert or all of the above. Third, I have a bonus extended family that likes to play games and laugh a lot! I really like to play games! They are way funny people to hang with! Fourth, no work for either one of us. Yay. Am I right?! And finally, the Black Friday ads in the newspaper! Yeah baby! I need to call and order me one an issue for Thanksgiving day from the Standard so I get ALL the ads. Funniest part, I never really go out on black Friday. I just love the ad's. Yes, I get how weird that is. But to each his own right?! I am kinda tempted to go this year though. Anywho, we've got less than a week now and I'm pumped! How about you?

Halloween photos

Here they are: I know you've been dying to see what we were right? Right? Whatdathink? Evil Queen or Snow White, who is the fairest of them all? It's okay, this queen's just a bit evil.

Jason was paying homage to Zoolander's Blue Steel. Allie was a cat. Just in case you didn't catch that.

And a few members of our family..
Mr Crouger and Superbaby! Ahem, supertoddler!
My sister's family.

Good things are happening... followup

Yesterday, we were able to receive some fun new things at our home. I also found an awesome new song that made me super happy and life was just good overall. Just in case you were wondering.

Plus, I had chocolate for lunch so that made it an even happier day. :)

Check this song out. I bet it'll make you happier
