Thanksgiving weekend

It all started with a blizzard warning and everyone freaking out. Dance classes were cancelled, Young Women's was cancelled and I just got to soak it the warmth from inside the house. The kids however, decided it was time to head outdoors. Ellyse is obviously batting for team Edward.

Then, thanksgiving rolled in. We watched a little parade, ate a little turkey, played a little game, did a little ad searching, and I got down with the idea of going out at the INSANE hour of 3 AM!
Yes, it was that cold. F.R.E.E.Z.I.N.G! So much so that I was smart and brought out the big guns in snow gear and went out in public in my purple snow pants. Yipes. I figured if I coudln't get to what I wanted in the crowd I'd flash my pants and they'd have no choice but to move out of the way.

Kallie is one super smart black Friday shopper! She even has her ad's 3 hole punched in a binder. I must say though, it certainly helped out. You guys, if you haven't ever been out on black Friday, it's definitely worth your time! Especially if you go with a bunch of organized girls like I did. Waaay too much fun for that hour of the morning! I didn't even get done until about 11:30 AM. That means it was close to 8hours of shopping I did. Are you proud? I sure am. Annnnddd, I can't wait for next year!!

Jason was once again a superstar husband when I finally made it home. He put up most of the Christmas stuff whilest I dragged my sorry carcus around attempting to help. I gave up about 3PM and had to nap.

Saturday night we went to the annual Ogden Christmas Parade and again with the freezing. We ended the night with the good 'ol fashioned Wood family tradition of watching Christmas Vacation with the Wood's.

Had a great weekend!

I managed to photograph the pie and veggie tray but did not get around to the Oreo truffles, turkey, or stuffing that we brought to the dinner on Thanksgiving. I figure you've seen one cooked turkey, you've seen 'em all.

Now, on to Christmas!

I would have been with you at 3:00 am if I was there. Glad you had a good Thanksgiving. Your pie looks awesome.
