SUPER EXCITED!

So, not only do I get to stay ALONE with my husband at this beautiful hotel without family or kids; love them lots but it's nice to be alone for a little while. I also get to FLY THERE too!! OH YEAH BABY! Yep, that's right; as you are reading this tomorrow, I may be flying high over head in an airplane. One of my absolute favorite places to be. Look at where we get to stay....yummy huh?!

A BIG HUGE thanks goes out to my mom and J's mom for helping out with the chillins!

Memory Tag

I thought this might be fun to try.

The Rules:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you, or I will post the memories here.

Pure Exhaustion

These pictures are a little old. We rode the frontrunner down to The Gateway a few weeks back and had the girls play in the pop up water fountain thing they have there. We all had a really fun time but it wiped the girls out. I snuck in their rooms and snapped these photos after they'd nodded off, or rather crashed into their beds. I thought they were cute and funny.

Allie is such a cuddlebug. She loves to cuddle with her big huge bunny as you can see. She usually burrows up to anything soft in her crib when it's time to sleep.

Happy Birthday Lesee Lou!

Here's some pictures from Ellyse's birthday. The big number 4! Sorry I didn't take the time to rotate the photos.

Sorry the picture quality is horrible. This was taken from my old camera as my new one was temporarily lost at the time. I know, great timing huh? This is princess Ellyse opening her gifts. She's wearing the lei and hula skirt that my cousin gave her. She wore these and her new princess jammies the next day until I made her get dressed.

This is her princess cake she requested. I found a castle kit at Michaels and put it together and then added the wording and decorations. In case you can't read it it says Happy Birthday Princess Ellyse.

Here she is posing with a bunch of her gifts and the balloons that were scattered all over the floor in the morning of the 15th. I put streamers on the outside of her door while she slept and when she woke up the next morning I could hear her open her door and stop to admire them and then she came in and said thank you so much for my beautiful strings. It was cute! We had such a fun party and she had so much fun playing with all her new toys with her cousins Whitney and Summer and Brynnley the next day. Brynnley slept over for Ellyse's very first sleepover that night. I have so many things to say about our little princess but I'd like to write them in a more private setting and give them to her when she's older. She's such a smart, neat kid and we're so blessed to have her in our lives. We love you Princess Ellyse! Happy Birthday!

Happy 4th!

We did have a happy 4th of July this year. I totally changed something that looking back on it now, has happened for a very long time. I'm usually up and ready and roaring to go to the parade on the morning of the fourth and it's usually a highlight of the day for me. This year, not so much. I'm not sure if it was because my sister was out of town and we usually go with her or if we slept in too long or what but something inside me just didn't want to get up and make the effort necessary to make it to the parade. I was kicking myself later on in the day for not going but I guess that's life. We were able to check out the new Iggy's in Ogden for lunch and then we went to see Wall-E with Ellyse. She liked it but towards the end she wanted to go back to the "firework place" a.k.a. FatCats to play with the balls. Grandma and Grandpa had taken her over there before the movie to play and she wanted badly to return. I couldn't help but try to say wall-eee and EvvvvA with the same tone the robots did in the movie for the rest of the afternoon. Those two words were about the jist of the conversation between the two throughout the entire movie. Later that evening, we got together for a BBQ at the Rich's and we had a good time. Allie is taking a few steps so I'm armed with the camera at every turn trying to capture those moments. After celebrating James' birthday, we went out front to watch the spectacle of fireworks being shown by their neighbors, who apparently spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on fireworks each year. We had a couple of uninvited guests show up after about a dozen or so illegal fireworks went up in the air and have come to find out that the neighbors were fined 1,000 big ones for possession of the illegals. Yikes! Note to anyone considering buying them; are you prepared for that price tag? Riverdale started their fireworks and so we headed out in search of the BIG fireworks and after a few last minute decisions, ended up in some neighborhood in West Haven watching Hooper's fireworks from our van where we decided that with all three of us pooling our money, we MIGHT be able to afford to share a house in that neighborhood. All in all it was a good day.
