I attended my first concert ever. The Gibb's invited us to see the Violent Fems. I was surprised by how calming the bass and the drums felt in my chest.
I was one of the youth leaders at youth conference at Reid Ranch. I thought it turned out pretty good, minus the broken thumb from Red Rover, and crazy wind storm that blew our neighboring camp to pieces, literal pieces. That sucked.
The wind made it impossible for us to keep our shade up. We ended up sitting around listening to old war stories from Bishop Berger. I thought it was cool.
I had an amazing experience right after riding horses that's too special to list here but just know, God knows each of us and puts us in places we need to be to help those that we need to help.Allie got her uniform.
Ellyse bought herself a new- to her- car! All by herself! We're just so proud of our girls for all they are doing and accomplishing.
Kent and Kathleen were in town and came to visit us. We had such a fun day! We had the parade in the morning, the air show in the afternoon, and played that night. We always love when they come to visit! The kids were home and we went and got ice cream after dinner. Because our kids have access to our locations, they figured out we went to Cold Stone without them. They all called all 4 of us at the exact same time to complain. This started a photo war. I sent this to them, chocolate lips and all.
Their response. Their version of flipping us off. :)
Our response:
When we got home, all 8 of them were giving us the stare-down of death for a good minute before they would talk to us. ;)
We let them choose, they could take our car and go get Zeppes or Cold Stone. After a while, they were going all over the place, we got this photo.
We followed their example and sent them this photo.
We also gave them the death-stare when they got back too. Ha. We had a fun night playing games after that. I played Mafia and I got screwed over by a 6 year old. :) She was a wonderful liar. ;) Such a fun weekend! We also played the tortilla challenge. So funny.
Taylor got engaged and we got to go bridal dress shopping with her!!

Our dog is not the brightest bulb in the bunch. I put the shade in front of where she normally sits and waits to be let in and left the rest of the clear door open. She wouldn't look through the door even though most of it was 'open.' I tried to get a closer view.
This year's 4th of July parade was a crappy one. We went to the Layton City Parade to see Ava cheering. The parade started at 10:30 but then somehow got delayed until 11:45. It was annoying. The parade finally ended at 12:30.
We ended up swimming at Tami's pool and her dogs were the worst and kept jumping in and scratching us all up. Bummer.Summer Sunsets:
Ellyse had her 18th birthday while we were in Disneyland but we had her family dinner a few days later.
I joined Be Bold with Jody Moore in December 2021 and after 6 months, you get to attend this VIP event. I was able to attend it because it was in SLC. I enjoyed it, minus paying for parking.
Josie's reception was so fun to catch up with all my mom's side. We also got to go to Mia's bridal shower and catch up with the Egan cousin side too. It was pretty amazing. Mia and Taylor (2nd cousins) ended up picking the exact same date to get married in the exact same Temple only a 1/2 hour difference. Crazy!
I was able to water color paint that sign for Taylor and Gabe. I forgot how forgiving water color is. It was nice to paint.
