Dance Recital 2013

See that cute girl in the middle with the AERO shirt on?  She's the amazing owner of Starstruck Studios.  She allows me to teach dance every week to some amazing individuals.  We all have a great atmosphere at our studio and I have enjoyed my time teaching for this studio!!

This is the comp team rehearsing for the big night.

This year it turned out to be just me and Janae.  Uh huh!  Did a duet.  It was intimidating and I think I messed up about 40 different times but it was still fun.  We danced to Taylor Swift's song 'I knew you were trouble.' for this outfit.
Then we danced to Continued Silences 'It's time' for this one.  Janae and I have gotten really close these past two years that she's been dancing with the studio and I'm super happy she's stuck it out!!  She's the genius behind the 'glove.'  Sewed it and everything.  Way to go J!!

Hot Cocoa Rodeo

A few weeks ago, we were able to go to an indoor barn/arena and ride some horses of a friend of mine.  We all bring snacks and there's hot cocoa and we have an honored guest... Santa Claus!   It had just snowed and the canyon was just beautiful!

What a fun, fun day!  The girls keep asking when we do we get to go back. :)  Thanks so much Terra!!

Over the mountains, through the plains, over the CANYON to Twin Falls we go..

Our really Good friends were finally able to get together with us recently. They usually head down our way so we headed up their way instead.  We had never been up there before so it was an adventure that my wanderlust needed to fulfill.   We headed up there on a Friday afternoon and it took about 3 hours to finally arrive in T.F.  Especially since we missed the first turn off and had to backtrack a bit. :)

We all had an incredible amount of fun!!

All of their girls with all of our girls equated to late bedtimes, early mornings, girly screams, oodles of make up, and lots of dress up.
The four older girls all got to sleep in a tent in the basement which was pure delight for them and hopeless attempts to get them to shut up from us.

We all needed a good rest by the time we got home.

They got some tunes started and little purple jammies went to town!! She was the life of the show. She wiggled, jiggled, and turned upside down. We were all thouroughly enjoying our free "show."

A piece rendering how much fun they were having.

Here is "downtown" T.F.  It was a cute little street.  I found some treasures at one of the two or three thrift shops just on this little ally.  I guess thrifting is big in T.F???

We got to go out one night with just the adults. They took us to visit the large gorge there in town.  It was so remarkable and beautiful! You have to pass over the CANYON (see comments) to get into town but we didn't know it was even there because it was dark when we arrived.   I wanted to snap photo's but it was too dark by then.

We hit up their happening mall and got some yummy ice cream to boot!  Also, Jason and I got our first taste of johnny Carinos restaurant that evening.  It was delish!!  Soo, soo much fun!  We are much abliged to our dear friends!  Can't wait till we can get together again!

Always and Forever

These wonderful people were able to go...

to this wonderful place on Saturday and be sealed for time and all eternity!
We lucky people got to be a part of it!
The littlest child was the only one that got to be sealed to her parents but you think the temple has a great spirit.... wait until you add someone as pure as an almost 2 year old to the mix!  I have never before felt the spirit literally enter the room so quickly as it did when little C entered the sealing room!  What a testimony to strive to add more childlike innocent qualities in your life!

Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

I love these people and I'm so happy for them!  I felt as if it were Jason and I's sibilings going through the temple.  I'm so happy they found each other and have been so truly happy!  Congrats Kent and Kathleen!!

For Sarah Songer... I can't remember her new last name.

I have about 5 different posts swimming around in my head but I don't have all my material to post them yet.

However, I was alerted of this today knew it needed immediate attention. To those of you who know her...please consider helping! I can't help but think of her laugh and smile as I think of memories of growing up with her. Now she is battling cancer and needs a little of our help.
Here's to a speedy recovery Sarah!

Alison and Koa

An old friend of ours got married over the weekend and we were lucky enough to get invited. I added this photo to show the pretty roses on her bolero. They're very hard to see but they are there, in white, and they're gorgeous!
They had a really cute theme of red, white, and baby blue. Crisp, clean, and very beautiful!
The cake. Have I ever mentioned how much I adore wedding cakes? I do. I wish I could create them myself.

She and the ladies in the wedding party all wore red shoes. Such a classy and fun addition! Thanks for letting us be a part of such a special day of yours!

These two are such go getters! Alison just passed the bar and is an attorney at law and Koa plans to take the bar in the next month or two. They are going to be forces to be reckoned with! happy Wedding!

Another birthday gift.

So, the day after my birthday, my old friend (she's not old, but we're old friends) Annie, called and told me she has suite tickets for the Jazz game that night and wondered if she could take me for my birthday. Uh hello? Yes ma'am you can take me!! How sweet of her to think of me! Making the phone call to ask Jason to stay home with the kids all night whilest I partied hard at the Jazz game wasn't the easiest; but he, being the superhusband that he is, agreed and off we went. I really did feel bad leaving him behind! Honestly. Us girls, doing more chatting than basketball watching.
The suite.
We played the Hotlanta Hawks. The score here is tied but unfortunately they were a little too hot for the Jazz that night and went home with the win.

It was such a fun evening out. We talked pretty much all evening long and that was good enough but to add the game and suite, with dinner and ice cream provided, was the cherry on top. Thanks Ann! Super fun night out!!

Much Thanks!

This week I've been spoiled a little bit by two of my good friends. On Monday, my cousin Cindy invited me down to view "Good Things Utah" on ABC4 with her because she won a contest and was going to be on the show that day. She entered an email response to one of thier contests and they chose hers and one other contestant's entry to hack away at a piece of a big ice cube. The ice cube had a gift card in it and the first one to get to it would win $250.00 to Downeast Outfitters. They were doing a promo for the new movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic."

It was a fun morning, even though we had to trudge through a ton of snow and early morning traffic to get there. My other cousins came to support her and so did my aunt M. I got to see the show for the 2nd time in person and it was a really fun thing to do. Here's a shot of Cindy after she won 2nd place ($100.00 gift card.)
After the show, they let you come up and chit chat and take pictures with the hosts and this is the shot we got all together.

And...I have to admit, I'm a fan of Reagan's. She's just so darn cute. Extremely nice too!

Not only did I get to go down to GTU that morning but Cindy volunteered to watch my girls to make up for the hours I missed at work. How super nice is that? Thanks Cind! You did great!

Now, onto my other spoiled moment. My good friend Carly took time out of her busy schedule and came allll the way down to my house to snap some photos of me for my work. I admire her abilities to create photo's that look professional and so I begged her to come over and take some for me. The dance studio that I teach for has asked all the teachers to provide head shots and so I thought she could may be do a cheap session for me. She did wonderful and it was great to see her again too! Thanks soooo much Carly. I really appreciate it. Go here to see the photos.

I would appreciate feedback as to which one you like better, the color photo or the black and white photo.

Thanks again to Cindy and Carly! You two are Stupendous!
