Spring Summer 2020

Oh boy! 2020 won’t be a year that’s forgotten for a very long time. We dealt with pretty much every extra fun thing being canceled or changed due to COVID 19. Here’s a few things we were able to find to do.

These are way out of order so you’ll just have to scroll.
Allie’s cheer group participated in a truck washing fundraiser for cheer.

Cherry Hill with cousins! Always a good time.

Cheer practices.

Memorial day weekend. We had Tessa because Colter’s parents needed to arrange his funeral. It’s hard to do that with a five-year-old.

Austin graduated college with his associates and high school. This is his graduation parade

On Tuesdays I go up to my parents and do random things they need done. This particular time I had mow the lawn. This is only half their lawn. It takes a long time.

This was Mother’s Day up at my parents.

Sometimes my girls will come with me on Tuesdays in the summer. This particular day they were able to drive around the golf cart. They had a blast.

Ellyse went on her first date. It was a double date to the drive-in movies. Kobe was her date.

We were all able to participate in Ifly. It was crazy fun.

We celebrated Father’s Day at Margaret and Ben’s house.

Kallie Grace Jacob Allie and I all hiked up to waterfall Canyon. Jake up is like a mountain lion. He runs up the hill.

Jason bought me a Hammock last Christmas and I was able to use it this year.

Allie’s room has the best views. We’ve had some really nice sunsets.

A neighbor friend, Jeanette, and I planned an East Canyon reservoir day. I was finally able to try my hand at paddle boarding. We had a lot of fun. Each girl got to bring a few friends.

We tried our hand at making our own donuts. They turned out quite nice.

During our overnight stay in Salt Lake for our anniversary, we hit up the dining room hike. They call it the dining room because of the furniture like rock formations.

Allie and her young women group were hiking up the wind caves in the Logan Canyon. They invited parents to come if they wanted. I wanted to go so I did. It was a beautiful hike.

There were no parades for the Fourth of July but we did get together and do fireworks. We didn’t have a barbecue due to Covid.

Looking back on these photos we had quite the summer. However, we lost out on at least three or four vacations this year, many normal family gatherings, church was canceled, and reservations had to be made at the pools. Masks weren’t always worn in public during the summer but towards the fall it became a mandate to wear them anywhere in public within 6 feet of anyone. Jason was working from home every other day to cut down on the number of staff at work, many people lost their jobs. Everyone I know had to make major changes in their lives to accommodate this virus.
We are lucky that we didn’t get the virus and we look forward to next summer when things can return to normal.
