Allie's Arm

The Wednesday before Christmas, Allie's gymnastics class had a Christmas party.  It wasn't my favorite idea because it was last minute, required a white elephant gift and was suppose to be a sleepover.  I spoke with Tiff.  Ava had a dance party that same night and Tiff offered to go get her and have her sleepover at their house.  Much better.

So I agreed and off we went.  As I was driving her to the gym, I had a feeling to tell her to be really careful and to not get hurt.  I told her that and felt my parent's coming through my voice.

I dropped her off and headed home.  Ellyse was at Taylor's YW activity so I got all the wrapping paper out to wrap some gifts.  Just as I had pulled all that out, I got the call.

Allie was on the uneven bars and fell off the high bar onto her elbow.  It was dislocated.
Poor girl was in so much pain!  Just broke our hearts.

We ended up in Farmington at an Urgent Care that was open after 9 PM.  They didn't feel comfortable putting her arm back into place without more powerful drugs.  They called the Davis ER and off we went.  Davis treated us very well and got her elbow back in place in a hurry and with minimal pain.  Luckily, the orthopedic surgeon was already on his way into the ER for someone else.  We were home by midnight.

Coming out of anesthesia.  Apparently, we have an unknown daughter.
