Parenting high

Allie's doing like 210% better on her potty training! Halle-FREAKIN-lejah! It's only been 11 months. Seriously, sooooooo happy about this! Like a huge boulder has been lifted, at least most of the weight, from my shoulders.

Ellyse is a sweetheart and is so helpful. She voluntarily listens to her primary cd and is doing well in school.

We are not dealing with the kids crazy insane eating issues so much anymore. Such as, you know, NOT EATING ANYTHING WE PROVIDE. Soo happy about this!

Seriously, parenting has it's highs and lows and I feel like I'm on a bit of a high right now.

Ummmmmm, knock on wood, cross your fingers, and pray that it'll stick. K thanks!

Mi Familia...well...mom and sister.

This was on Christmas Eve 2010.

They are cute huh?

Christmas 2010

Here's a look at our Christmas morning.

These fun little press on nails shown on Ellyse were stocking gifts from Santa. Mom and dad hope that Santa doesn't stuff them in her stocking again. (They really didn't work)

We had a very extra special guest at our home for about 10 days this December and man, was it a blast to have him around! His name is Jax. He's a border collie and bernice mountain dog mix. Darling right? I think he's downright adorable!
Do you know how difficult it is to get a dog to hold still amongst so much activity? Super duper hard.
Here's a better shot. However, Ellyse looks like she's riding a small horse.
Something funny about Jax was that he was super protective of me. He would follow me around EVERYWHERE. It was actually very sweet to be adored like that! But as we found out one night, Jason gave me a hug, and Jax went nuts. He was barking and jumping up and down and sqeezing his way in between us. We had ourselves a good laugh at that one.

Then we'd do it just to bug him. :)

My heart ached for him the day he had to go home.

To the the owners: if, you know, you ever get sick of having that super amazing dog, he has a solid home over at our house. :)

One of the best Christmas gifts we all received was having him with us! Thanks!

Oh what fun....Christmas Eve

One of my most favorite days! It's more like Christmas day on Christmas Eve around our families. We get most of our gifts the day prior, jealous? Yeh, I know. Plus all the yummy food too! I love it!
We started at my folks house and then on to a church for the Cowles side; as we are too big to fit comfortably in a house. Anyone who knows my mom, knows she likes a good wrapped present. "It's gotta be pretty" - I hardly ever put bows on my packages but when it comes to my mom's present, I know I have to go all out because she does the same for us. One of her cute little personality traits, is all.
Here they are, all 9 of em - together. It's a Festivus miracle!
Here are just the girls. I failed to get just the boys.
Ellyse getting her big gift from grandparents.
And most likely making their first debut as a whole on my blog - my bad - my brother's family. D's lost like 30 lb.'s or so since his scare in 09. He's a stick now!
My parent's got us all these signs that say our last names and the year of our marriage. I thought I'd spice up our photo a bit. Apparently, Jason did too.
I didn't do much camera..ing at the Cowles side. I was too stuffed from all the yummy food, it made my brain all foggy. I did however, get this one of our Wii "Just Dance" off. We had a projector and used the screen in the gym and turned all the lights out. It was a major award when you won because there were brackets and semi-finals and finalists. It was a big deal. Yours truly needs much more practice on the Wii to master this!

We ended the evening with Jax (our favorite surrogate dog) being molested by Sammy dog (that dog is weird as weird can be) at the Wood's house whilest we opened up the rest of our gifts that evening.

I hope your Christmas Eve's were amazing and wonderful all wrapped up in pretty bows and ribbons!
