He's Finally Here!!

Welcome to the World Colter! He arrived today at about 1:20 PM after his mom was induced at 2 AM in the morning. I believe he was 7' 11 and 21 inches long. It's too late to call and make sure that's correct but I'll change it later if necessary. He's darling isn't he?

Here's the happy new family photo.

Jason's officially a blood uncle now.

And of course, Lance had him dressed in his first piece of Jazz attire.

We're super excited that you're finally here Buddy.

Our Allie - 18 months

Allie,
Mom wanted to try writing to you about your favorite subject, you. Many wonder what they were like as a child and now may be this will open a page of your life that you may not have been able to open otherwise.

Allie, ever since the beginning (4 1/2 weeks early) you've been a fighter. You came out and held on tight, and pretty much haven't stopped since. Except to cuddle with your bit-tee (blanky), mommy, daddy, sissy, gma's, and gpa's, Kent, Jake, your Uncle Lance and Aunt Michelle, your Uncle and Aunt'ts dog- whose size out does yours by 3 times, any sort of blanky or soft cuddly thing that you come in contact with, including but not limited to, fresh clean laundry, mom's g's, gma's silky 70's outfit and basically anything that you can wrap your loving arms around. You LIKE to cuddle.

Al, you have one obsessive love of animals. You even let gpa's dog Sammy, lick your face and play with you like one of his toys. I only call it gpa Brent's dog because gma Diane won't claim that dog, even if her life depended on it. Every time you see an animal on the TV or in real life, you stop and shout and completely enjoy every single second you are in the presence of said animal. Boozer, Lance and Michelle's dog, knows you by name by now. You love gma Cheryl's cat Sophie, and would rather be outside alone with that cat than inside with us. Your family. Who love you. Very much. And you HATE to be alone! You can't stand it, ever. I'm wondering if that's why we're having sleeping issues with you, I wonder if you get lonely at night. I certainly hope that this love continues because it's just so darn cute.
You're facial expressions are a defining characteristic of your's Bubbas. That and your attitude. You know what you want and when you don't get it, you'd better never scuzz off your animals the way that you scuzz everyone else off because Allie, they'd run in fear, pure fear. However, I love that you know what you want and you make a fuss to get it too, even though I feel as if I need to hurl something rather large and heavy at a random object when you throw your little fusses. Little ha, ha.

Your love of books, trying to immitate any and all words that you possbily can, and your love to tag along with your sister and her friends are endearing. You love your sister sooooo much. Once you cried when daddy had to drop her off at a birthday party and you couldn't go. If sissy's not around, you ask me, with your hands up in the air "Sissy?" Your sissy was the first and only one that you would laugh at when you were younger, and anyone who knows your daddy, knows he's a pretty funny guy. Funny looking. :) I pray that this love continues throughout your lives because the love of sisters is stronger than many many other relationships!

Not that you can be summed up in just 3-4 paragraphs but that's all I'm going to say right now. Thank you for being you, Allie! You and all your funny little quirks make loving you irrisistible. You truely have been an AMAZING blessing in my life, as well as your daddy's, and of course, your sissy's too! Happy 18 months Allie-Bubbas! I love you with all my heart and then some.

Love, Mommy

Tuesday's Totally Useful Information

Tuesday's Totally Useful Information: Disney On Ice Tips...

1. Plan on being there ONLY about 5 minutes early. That's it. Only 5 minutes, not 45 minutes so that your husband can go watch the Jazz game and you and your child can decide what TREMENDOUSLY OVERPRICED treat she gets to choose.

2. If you plan to go, plan on not just the ticket price but the price of gas, dinner, and the TREMENDOUSLY OVERPRICED treat that your child will insist on getting. Plus any treats that you and your spouse might like.

3. Plan on sitting right next to a rather large man.

4. After the show begins, plan on having to get up to let a family that was not there on time into their seats that really aren't theirs but they claim that they are and yet after looking at the tickets, they realize they are in the wrong row.

5. Plan on a 20-25 minute intermission. This is so you'll get so sick of hearing your kids ask for a TREMENDOUSLY OVERPRICED treat that you'll finally give in.

6. And finally, plan on a great show. After all this whining I've done, it really was a great show and the princess part was awesome! To see that part with Lesee was worth all the other stuff that happened. 1/2 of it wasn't as bad as I decided to write about but it was all true.

Funny Family Quote

While toting the twins and our girls around in our van, the DVD was playing a preview for Peter Pan. Ellyse could not believe me when I corrected her pronunciation of Neverland. She insisted that it was called Liverland. I wonder what a place like that would look like?

Tuesday's Totally Useful Information

Hey again. Sorry late again.

Do you like Bath and Body Works stuff? Do you always find yourself asking for it for Christmas? Well, if so, hold off. For the last two years, they have a MAJOR sale right after Christmas, in fact, I think it's the whole month of January. I don't know if they're planning on doing it again this year but if they are, it'll be worth your wait! I've got stuff from the sale for the last two years and it's usually 1/2 off or more what it usually is. I think I get about 5 regular size lotions for 30 bucks or something like that. I've used these things for last minute gift fall backs during the years and just for myself too. It's a really great sale and a really great way to get B & BW on the cheap.

Happy TTUI!

Halloween Pic.'s

Ellyse and Allie Before our Family Reunion.

The girl crew at the fam reunion.

Here's J's costume. He went as Nurse Joker. This picture DID NOT do it justice. He looked really good and even acted the part sometimes too.

Here's my Michael Jackson's Thriller costume. It was last minute.

And this is Brent's costume. I have no idea what it is but it was definitely creative and it scared the living crap out of Allie.

It was a fun week!
